The T-CLOCS safety check for motorcycles is a checklist used to ensure that a motorcycle is in safe operating condition before it is ridden. The acronym T-CLOCS stands for Tires, Controls, Lights, Oil, Chassis, and Stands. The check includes inspecting the condition of the tires, including the tread depth and air pressure, checking the operation of the controls, such as the brakes and throttle, ensuring that all lights are working properly, checking the oil level and ensuring that the motorcycle is on a stable surface when parked.
If you plan to attend class with your own motorcycle your Total Rider instructor will perform a T-CLOCS as well as verify your insurance before allowing you to ride in the class.
